ORV Open Rack Vaporizer
ORV is a heat exchanger that uses seawater to vaporize Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) and convert LNG into Natural Gas(NG). LNG at -162 degrees flows inside the specially designed and manufactured Fin-tube and seawater, a heat source, flows to the outer surface of the Fin-tube. LNG is vaporized into NG.ORV uses seawater to reduce operating costs and has excellent performance. It is the safest and most reliable vaporization facility as it is easy to monitor, maintain, and inspect thanks to its open rack structure.
ORV’s main components
(1) Heat Exchanger(Panel Manifold Assembly)
: Heat Exchanger Tube is comprised of Fin-Tube, Header Pipe, Manifold Pipe and Hanger Support Lug vaporizes LNG to NG.
(2) Seawater Distribution System
: A system for supplying seawater, a heat source that vaporizes LNG comprised of Manifold, Distribution Tube, and Trough.
(3) Support Structure
: It is comprised of Concrete Structure and Maintenance Deck.
Current Status
It is under development for Korean localization. Independent model of the heat transfer tube is completed.
