Converter
Converters normally process 300 tons or more of scrap and hot metals in a single batch or “heat”. The scrap is added first, followed by hot metal. A water-cooled lance is lowered into the hot metal to deliver a high pressure stream of pure oxygen that triggers chemical reactions, converting impurities into gases and slags.Reference Projects
